NOTICE: MEMBERSHIP RATE CHANGE ON OCTOBER 1ST, 2024

​On October 1st, the Kelowna Canadian Italian Club will be increasing our annual membership rates – by $5 for single memberships and $10 for couples. These changes will be effective October 1st. Going forward, single memberships will be $30 per year and couple memberships will be $60.
 
This small increase will help us offset some of the increased costs in – well – pretty much everything! And a KCIC membership will always be the best deal in town! It gives you early access to tickets for most of our events, access to exclusive KCIC Member Events, free attendance to Giuseppe’s Café and Family Games Night, as well as substantial discounts on other events and programs like our language lessons. It also supports our ongoing mission to collect, preserve and share Italian culture for our members and the community.
 
For those of you whose membership comes up for renewal after October 1, you’ll see the new prices posted when you renew. For those of you who have opted to automatically renew your membership, the rate will be adjusted for you on your next renewal date. You can change your billing preferences and update your membership profile at any time by following the link from our membership page. Our Lifetime memberships will continue to be free.
 
We want to thank everyone who has supported the Club through your membership over our entire history.

BECOMING A KCIC MEMBER

If you're 18 or older and are of Italian origin or the spouse/partner of someone who is, you can become a member of KCIC! Not only will you receive great member benefits (see below) but you'll also be supporting the mission of the KCIC: to preserve and share our Italian Culture and Heritage!

Annual Membership Fee (as of Oct 1, 2024):

Renewing Your Membership OR UPDATING YOUR MEMBERS INFORMATION

All paid Club memberships now are valid for a 12-month period from the date of last payment. Memberships must be remain current to vote at our Annual General Meeting held each December. ​

You can check your membership status and update your contact information at any time by visiting our membership portal page:

IMPORTANT  - PLEASE FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. In the upper right of the page you'll see a green button marked "Your Membership".
  2. Click this and enter your email (the one you receive member newsletters at) and the password you set up the first time you logged in.
  3. If you haven't yet set up a password, you'll be given that option. Also, if you forgot your password, you'll be able to reset it.
  4. If you paid by credit card in the past, you can see whether you chose a single time payment or the auto renewing option. You can then make sure your membership doesn't expire. See the options for payment at the bottom of this page.

About the Membership Committee
Our mission is to welcome new members to our club and manage membership concerns and renewals. We reach out to all new members, warmly welcoming them to the club and informing them about upcoming events. We encourage active participation from new members to help foster a vibrant and engaged community. By involving members, volunteers, and supporters, we strive to make a meaningful difference in our community.
What We Do
  • Welcome: We personally contact new members, inviting them to participate in our social activities.
  • Events: We inform new members about upcoming events, including dinners, celebrations, and meetings, which provide opportunities for connection, learning, and cultural engagement.
  • Volunteer Opportunities: We offer opportunities for members to get involved in volunteer work that strengthens our community and supports our mission.
  • Membership: Whether you're joining for the first time or renewing, we provide a welcoming atmosphere and the resources you need to get involved and make a difference.

MEMBERSHIP MEETINGS

The Executive and Board of Directors meets on a monthly basis.  Should you wish to bring an item or concern to the attention of our board, please contact the President Rosann Nanci by email [email protected] or telephone 250-762-0900 and leave a message with your contact information.
Members are welcome to attend the quarterly general memberships meetings which are held quarterly on the second Tuesday of the month at 7:30pm.
These meeting are open to those who have paid their membership.

3 ways to renew your membership

Auto-renewing credit Card

If you chose this option in the past, there is nothing you have to do. Your card will be automatically charged at the end of the month.

Annual credit card payment

If you paid by credit card last year and chose the one time payment option, you'll be sent a reminder at the end of the month that it is time to renew, along with a link to the payment page. If you want to switch to your credit card as a payment, you can do this from your member's profile page.

cheque or e-transfer

We can also accept payment of memberships as either cheque or by e-transfer to our treasurer. Cheques can be mailed to:

  1. Send your e-transfer to [email protected]
  2. For your security question, pick something simple such as "Which avenue is the clubhouse on?"
