Translation:

Massimo Grillandi takes on two challenges with this historical story: initially, the writer began writing short stories, now he has completed an ambitious novel; secondly, the author returns to a familiar location as the book opens with the image of San Mercuriale, the cathedral in Forli. Grillandi is a creator of believable lives as his earlier book, La Contessa di Castiglione, illustrates. This is a work of fiction. Based on extensive historical information, Grillandi, as a passionate popularizer, used literary license to create his characters.
The setting is the conquest of the Two Sicilies and the first operations of Bourbon guerrilla warfare to Piedmontese repression. Andreina, breathes and moves during these times.

The minimal and private theater is enriched by the supporting actors Fabio, a kind of moral hero, the Marquis Pellegrino torn between past and present, between tradition and revolution, his wife, Eleonora, a beautiful representation of wife and mother. The writer tells the story seen from the side of the winners in this tumultuous era, the ultimate moral is the eternal confrontation of conscience. This is another re-telling of the "risorgimentale", a popular theme in Italian literature.
